Why Sustainable Flowers?

At Riverbound Farms we practice regenerative agriculture and make a point to only use sustainable practices.

We are committed to providing our community with the best blooms without compromising the environmental integrity of our farm.

Protecting Our Waterways:

Our farm is located on the Nansemond River in Suffolk, VA and we take extra precautions to limit our impact. This means we never use pesticides or harsh chemicals that might wash into our river. This also means we are in a windy area of Suffolk, so our soil management practices help combat soil erosion due to wind. We want to see a flourishing river ecosystem!

Growing Practices:

Using sustainable agriculture and natural farming management practices we ensure soil health for amazing blooms. Each row of flowers is bursting with beneficial insects and a healthy microbiome. Our farm is pollinator friendly and on any given day there will be hundreds of pollinators busy at work. Because we don’t use pesticides, we rely on these beneficial insects for pest management. These beneficial insects are hard at work above and below the soil, so it is our job to provide a suitable habitat for them.
